The United States Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo  has called the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar on the eve of Nigeria’s presidential election.

This was disclosed by Abubakar on his twitter page, @atiku on Friday.

According to him, Pompeo called him to re-affirm the international community’s support for a free and fair election in Nigeria.

“Earlier today, I received a call from US Secretary of State, @SecPompeo, who reaffirmed the international community’s commitment to free and fair elections in Nigeria.

“Wishing you all a peaceful elections, wherever you are. God bless Nigeria,” he said on his twitter.
