Ghanaian Rapper-turned-evangelist, Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo a.k.a Lord Kenya has countered claims that his music career has ended because he decided to preach the gospel.

For the clergy, he is not done with music yet but was waiting on God for the green light to come out with a new album.

The ‘Sika Ba’ hit maker added that he had to go on a long break from the music scene because people thought his calling by God to become a pastor was a nine-day wonder.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Tuesday, Kenya stressed that he will only come out with a new song when “the Holy Spirit has given me the go-ahead otherwise I won’t do it.

“My past wasn’t me…if I had followed up musically [After God’s calling], a lot of people wouldn’t have believed me,” he said.
