An Assistant Chief Officer of Prisons at the Ankaful Main Camp Prisons in the Central Region, has been nabbed for attempting to smuggle into the prison a substance suspected to be cannabis.

The incident occurred around 7pm on Sunday, January 6, 2018 during a routine check.

The suspect (name withheld) has since been handed over to the Elmina Police for further probing and prosecution.
