The Ohanaeze Youth Councils’ president, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro has told President Muhammadu Buhari to issue compulsory retirement to all serving Chiefs and top military commanders in Maiduguri.

Isiguzoro further asked Mr. President to borrow a leaf from the past president of United States of America, George Bush in eliminating Boko Haram terrorists in the North East.

His call came following the killing of Nigerian soldiers by Boko Haram insurgents in Maiduguri last week.

He noted that dismissal of the serving chiefs and replace them with capable officers would help restore the confidence of Nigerians and our soldiers in the battle fields in Maiduguri.

His reaction was contained in a statement issued yesterday and was made available to news correspondent in Abakaliki.

“We commiserate with families of those falling heroes, we share their pains and sorrows.

“We also urge President Muhammadu Buhari to issue compulsory retirement to all service chiefs and replace them with capable officers so as to restore the confidence of Nigerians and our soldiers particularly those at the battle field in North east,” he said.

Isiguzoro, said that President Buhari to watch the daily kidnap of Nigerians, invading villages and disruption of property, killings of civilians and now soldiers by Boko Haram members was uncalled

He added that great threat facing the security in Nigeria is the alleged recent rate of corruption amidst top military officers, because they have no reason to give that for eight years they are still fighting Boko Haram.

He however charged President Buhari to initiate a positive action towards checking Niger, Chad and Cameroon and as well fight the urge rising corruption in the military.

“If possible let him borrow a leave from former President of United State of America, George Bush in dealing with terrorists”, he said.

He added that the porous nature of our border with neighbouring countries hinders operation of our security operatives in the north east
