The National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (NACHPN) has suspended its National President, Akor Jude and terminated the appointment of its General Secretary, Ewhrudjakpo L.O.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Association, Mr Elijah Zakwoyi, announced this in Abuja while briefing journalists on the resolution reached at an emergency National Executive Council meeting of the Association.

Other three principal national officers of the association suspended indefinitely are Victoria Chioma Eruba – National Vice President South East Zone, Donnish Oriola, National Vice President South West Zone and Caroline Adekunle – National Treasurer.

Mr Zakwoyi said the suspension was due to the violation of the constitution of the Association.

He expressed concern over the poor state of health facilities at the grassroots and called for immediate upgrade of health care centres in rural areas to cater for health needs of teeming rural dwellers.

The National Publicity Secretary said the Association would continue to compliment the efforts of government towards repositioning the nation’s health sector.
