The defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Oyo State has condoled with the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) in the state on the demise of its members who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident in Osu, Osun State.

Losing three hard working and experienced hands in the profession at a time like this, is a national loss to the country, more so, that some others are currently lying on hospital beds, receiving treatment is another miss in the profession" Chief Oke said.

Commiserating with all journalists in Nigeria, especially Oyo and Lagos State Councils, the party console with  the families of the deceased and pray that God will be with those who are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals across the country.

The party express heartfelt appreciation to all medical personnel, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), police officers and governments of Oyo, Osun and Lagos States, for their timely intervention and support.

“These actions in a way subtly soothe our wounds,"

Chief Akin Oke particularly lauded the Oyo State Government for footing the bills of the injured NUJ members currently receiving treatment at the University College Hospital, (UCH), Ibadan, adding that it shows that the government has passion for the welfare of the journalist.
