The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship hopeful in Oyo State and the former Secretary to Oyo State government (SSG), Barrister Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli said the presidency knows about the Mace saga that happened at the National Assembly on Wednesday.

The Asiwaju Balogun of Ibadanland said this in an interview with CEOAfrica where he condemned the action leading to the abduction of the Mace of Authority by hoodlums, and blamed the Executives Arm of the Government for masterminding and implementing the action, just to hinder Legislative plenary.

He stated that the success of the invasion and carting away of the Mace have direct involvement with the Federal Government, on whose orders such an act can only go unchallenged by the numerous security apparatus guiding the NASS Complex.

Barrister Sarafadeen went on to hinge the act with the upcoming 2019 election, as regards to the change on the sequence of election, which placed the Presidency last." Bringing out the need for the proposed Restructuring, as a panacea to curbing excessive power at the Central which leads to ugly situations that undermines and threatens the Nation’s young Democracy."

He advised that the Country in her practice of Democracy should emulate America system of Democracy, evolving over years on laid down democratic procedures & principles, which enabled their security to speak and execute actions without the fear of the Presidency. Citing example with the FBI boldness in pointing out that Russia meddled in the US election that brought President Trump into power, and commending Nigeria former President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for living up to that standard of respecting Democratic norms and rules of engagements.

"In proffering solution towards guiding against future occurrences of such ugly incidences that threatens Democratic Rules, he called on Loyal and Patriotic Nigerians to be at the herm of affairs in this country, as only this will usher Nigeria into TRUE DEMOCRACY,"
