Ronaldo scores another milestone goal as Real Madrid beat Getafe

Real Madrid bounced back from the midweek defeat against Espanyol by edging out Getafe 3-1 in their Spanish LaLiga clash at the Bernabeu on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed a brace in the encounter, while Gareth Bale scored the other goal.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane made five changes to the team that started against Espanyol on Tuesday night.

Ronaldo and Karim Benzema return in the final third of the field, with Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez dropping out. Dani Carvajal returned at right-back, while Theo Hernandez got the nod ahead of Marcelo at left-back.

Real Madrid make the breakthrough in the 24th minute with Bale placing the ball into the bottom corner after it fell kindly for him inside the box.

Ronaldo doubled the hosts lead in first half added time for his 300th LaLiga goal in his 286th appearance.

The Portuguese collected a super pass from Karim Benzema and worked his way into the box before slotting the ball home.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men two minutes after the break when Loic Remy was sent off for grabbing Ignacio Nacho’s neck.

The home team had a goal ruled out in the 67th minute when Ronaldo’s header was chalked off for offside.

Ronaldo however got his second of the game and Real’s third when he rose highest inside the box to head a Marcelo’s cross into the back of the net.
