Plateau State requires an average of 1 million litres (approximately 30 trucks) supply of petrol to put an end to the lingering fuel crisis in the state.

The Operations Manager of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) Jos field office Jeremiah Mashat said this yesterday during the monitoring of filing stations in Mangu and Pankshin local government areas of the state.

According to him, DPR officials have been stationed at some of the filling stations to ensure compliance with the approved pump price of N145 per litre.

Mashat said marketers hoarding the product would be sanction accordingly.
