The President of Nigeria, President Buhari is currently in a closed door meeting with 35 elders from Benue state. The state governor, Samuel Ortom, led the elders to the meeting in the state house.

Some of the elders includes Fmr. Senate President David Mark, Minister of Agriculture Audu Ogbeh, George Akume, and Barnabas Gemade.

Part of discussions at the meeting is the recent herdsmen attacks in the state.
