Nigerian Super Eagles Midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi Achieves Greatness in EPL

Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi who started his football career in Lagos, South-western part of Nigeria has continued to become a force to be reckoned with in Europe. He is named Nigeria’s pass master in the English Premier League (EPL), ahead of team-mates, Kelechi Iheanacho, Arsenal’s Iwobi and Chelsea’s Victor Moses.

 According to statistics from the official website of the EPL, Ndidi took his tally for the season to 600 after the Foxes 1-1 draw with West Ham at the weekend.

 The 20-year-old has made more passes than Harry Maguire (526), Danny Simpson (437), Christian Fuchs (434) and goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel (398).

 Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho is sixteenth on the list with with 78 passes made in only 255 minutes of game time.

 Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi is second on the list of Nigerian passers with 241 successful passes, while Chelsea wing-back, Victor Moses comes third with 131 passes.

 The top passers in the EPL after thirteen matches are Fernandinho (1,141), David Silva (1,091) and Nicolás Otamendi (1,066).
