Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, the Secretary to the Government will be meeting with the Academic Staff Union of Universities on Monday to negotiate on the issue of earned allowance and general university funding for infrastructure development.

CEOAFRICA news correspondence gathered this through the statement of the Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam to journalist in Abuja on Friday after the meeting of ASUU with members of the committee on implementation of Needs Assessment Report to Nigerian Universities.

Governor Suswam revealed that agreement has been reached on several issues under negotiation except for the two relating to earned allowance and general university funding for infrastructure development which would be decided on after the Monday meeting.

He concluded on the note the committee would also meet with ASUU on August 1 to address the issue of infrastructure deficit in universities and that the meeting would involve all the agencies funding projects in the universities.
