“Even if you fall on your face, you are still moving forward” goes a quote by Victor Kiam, which best describes the decision of the former president of The Gambia, Yahya Jammeh, to take up full-time farming.

According to Ceoafrica, Jammeh flew out to Equatorial Guinea last month after coming under pressure from Gambia's neighbours, who threatened to use force against him out if he did not accept defeat in December presidential polls.

The farming disclosure was given by an anonymous diplomat in Equatorial Guinea.

After his initial acceptance, later reversed, that he had lost the elections to current leader Adama Barrow, Yahya Jammeh had said he would return to his home village in The Gambia to take up farming there.
