CEOAFRICA gathered that four key figures including faction chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP),  Kawu Baraje were suspended  on Monday.

The National Secretary of the party, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who the Court of Appeal ordered reinstated and along with the former Deputy National Chairman of the party, Sam Jaja was also suspended.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh, who announce the suspension last night, also declared that the PDP National Vice Chairman (North West), Ibrahim Kazaure, was also suspended.

According to Metuh, the suspension became imperative because of the alleged violation of party rules and constitution by the affected members and the fact that they had grossly breached section (58)(1)(b)(g)(h) and (I) of the party’s constitution.

He posited however that the suspension of the four had been referred to the party’s disciplinary committee for further investigation and action.
