As Zuriel Oduwole, simply described as a remarkable African Girl, of Nigerian Heritage, continues to make amazing feats which is visible across African skylines, Ethiopian Airlines has now appointed her as its global youth ambassador, even though she is not an Ethiopian.

This was disclosed in a simple event in the United States by the Ethiopian Airline regional Director for Americas, Mr. Kagnew Asfaw, who signed the MOU on behalf of the global airline.

According to a press release by the Airline and made available to CEOAFRICA, the award was in recognition of Zuriel’s many astounding feats highlighted by Mr. Kagnew, which includes;

Being the first 10 year old to interview 8 sitting heads of State, the first and only 10 year old to interview  the richest Black Person in the World [Aliko Dangote], the first 10 year old to be accredited to a World press conference [competing with seasoned CNN, Reuters and CNBC Correspondents], the first 10 year old to interview sports personalities Venus & Serena Williams, the first 10 year old to be compared to both Larry King & Oprah Winfrey because of her interviewing prowess, the first 10 year old featured in Forbes magazine, and the first African child appointed an honorary Ambassador by a foreign Government.

As part of the agreement, Mr. Kagnew also disclosed that the Airline would be Zuriel’s official carrier, to her many engagements and projects across 3 continents including Africa and South America, where she is continuously meeting with world leaders and making case for the Girl Child Education.

It will be recalled that Zuriel Oduwole was recently awarded with honorary ambassador title for the largest Foundation for East Africa, by the first lady of Tanzania, Mrs. Salma Kikwete.

Ethiopian Airline is arguably Africa’s most profitable and most advanced Airline, with a rapid global expansion program earning it the fastest growing Airline accolade in the emerging market,and has continued to cement itself as the forbearer of Africa’s commercial aviation vanguard.

With expanded services across Asia, Latin America, North America and Europe, and a dual hub in Africa [the first African Airline to do so], it became the first and still only Airline in Africa to fly the advanced and long awaited Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, in its service.

It’s a visionary airline, with great but practical ambitions to transform Air travel, from Africa, and to Africa.
