Society for Animal Health and Improvement to hold Maiden Conference

The Society for Animal Health and Improvement (SARI), a society that intends to bridge the knowledge and practice gaps that exist among animal reproduction practitioners, with the aim to bring about desirable improvement in the livestock and pet animals to the benefits of mankind, will on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, hold its maiden conference at First Bank Building, University of Ibadan, Oyo State by 9am.

The conference of animal healthcare experts and practitioners, envisioned to improving the health and welfare of animals, is themed “Animal Reproduction and Improvement in Retrospection: Towards Sustainable National Development” while the subtheme is “Animal Improvement and Challenges of Policy Formulation and Implementation.”

Speakers at the maiden edition are, Pioneer Registrar, the Nigeria Institute of Animal Science (NIAS), Dr. Godwin Oyediji; Director of Animal Husbandry Services, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Mrs Winnie Lai-Solarin; and Chief Veterinary Officer of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Columba Vakuru.

The Chairman of the occasion is the Technical Director, Farm Support Ltd, Mr. Kunle Ogunwomoju; and the Chief Host is, the SARI President, Prof S. I. Ola of the Department of Animal Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
