It was a double celebration for the members of the University of Nigeria Alumni Association's as they marked the 63rd Founder's Day and Homecoming of Prof. Frank Nwachukwu Ndili, the 7th Vice-chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, first head of Department of Physics, First Doctorate holder in the field of Nuclear Physics and Pioneer Leader in the development of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

The event was graced by dignitaries from all over the world, Alumni from within and outside the country, Members of the Governing Council, Board of Trustees and other guests.

The historic event was held on Friday, 6th October, 2023 at the Princess Alexandria Auditorium, University of Nigeria Nsukka .

Th 2023 Founders’ themed : “Assessing the Impact of Alumni Association in the University Community. A Case Study of University of Nigeria, Nsukka”.

The event kicked off with a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Charles Arizechukwu Igwe.

The high points of the occasion was the presentation of award of HUMAN DEVELOPMENT ICON to Prof. Frank Nwachukwu Ndili and other icons awardees are; Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, Dr. Okey Ibeabuchi, Prof. Joseph Ifeanyichukwu Ikechebelu, Chief Sir. Surv. O.K. Achinivu, Chief Dr. Amb. O. D. Nwandu, Hon. Gideon Adzer Abya, Dr. Chinedu C. Anyanwu, Mr. Nwokodiuko Donald Chinemerem, Chukwuma Ekomaru, Christopher Osita Uzuegbunam, Dr. Samuel Maduka Onyishi who were all ably present or represented.
