FCAH&PTIB 2023 free anti rabies vaccination (Photos)

As part of the efforts of Dr Adekoya Owosibo’s led administration to ensure a town and gown relationship, the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, moor plantation, Ibadan (FCAH&PTIB) on Monday commenced 2023 Free Anti Rabies Vaccination for dogs.

The vaccination which took place in three locations -FCAH&PT Veterinary Clinic, Moor Plantation, Primary Animal Health Centre inside Campus and Veterinary Centre at Jericho all in  IBADAN from  Monday 2nd to Tuesday 3rd October, 2023, saw residents trooping out en masse to get their dogs vaccinated at no cost.

Recall that CEOAFRICA reported that the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development officially handed over the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services buildings at Idi Shin, Ibadan to the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan.
The handover ceremony took place Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 at  Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services buildings at Idi Shin, Ibadan  which was witness by  many  guests and stakeholders  of the duo establishments who commended the initiative as a positive move to help the college to contribute its quota to education, human and national development. 
Addressing the audience at the event, the college Provost, Dr A.O Owosibo was well pleased with this development, describing it as a boost to the services of animal production & care which is the cardinal aim and value of the college.   He assured that the facility handed over will go a long way to support education of animal health which is imperative for national development. In line with the vision of the college, Dr Owosibo further guaranteed that the facility will help the college to contribute to the development of Nigeria through training of qualitative manpower.
The provost  said that FCAHPTIB will kick start operations with immediate effect on the facility  .  He further stated that the college is leaving no stone unturned towards ensuring that the institution  becomes the leading  Animal Health and Production Technology college   in Africa.
 This is a confirmation  that leaders with vision and tenacity always achieve results.
