Nigerian activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has reacted after a female Tiktoker was handed a three-year jail term for cyberstalking Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus.

A TikToker identified by the name Nwakaego Okoye was sentenced to three years imprisonment for cyberstalking Badmus.

Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos gave the ruling on Wednesday.

The judge convicted Nwakaego after she pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of cyberstalking.

In a consideration that followed the convict’s remorse, Justice Oweibo gave her an option of paying a fine of N150,000 in lieu of jail time.

Reacting to the development, Sowore wondered how the judge could pass judgement on a TikToker in a few days, while cases that have been in court since 2007 are still pending.

The activist fumed that MC Oluomo who allegedly cyberstalked an entire ethnic group still walks the street as a freeman while a TikToker was jailed for cyberstalking a celebrity.

According to him, “So judges treating cases in Lagos that haven’t been able to finish corruption cases of politically exposed persons since 2007 could easily jail a “tiktoker” in a few days? Jokersā€¼!

“An MC Oluomo that cyberstalked an entire ethnic group hasn’t even been arrested or investigated.

“TikTok user jailed three years for cyberstalking Eniola Badmus.”
