The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, has eulogies his Confidential Secretary, Mr. Michael Tejuoso as a faithful servant.

Babalola who made this remark at the send forth party organised by selected registry staff of the prestigious University noted with emotions that the success story of Chrisland University under his administration as Vice-Chancellor cannot be completed without the input of his Confidential Secretary, Mr. Mike, who the VC described as one staff member in billions.

According to the Vice Chancellor, "Mr Michael Tejuoso assumed office as my Confidential Secretary at Chrisland University, Abeokuta. I lack appropriate words to describe him and his performance these past 5 years. He is the perfect example of a man with an excellent spirit. He is also intelligent and brilliant.

Mike Tejuoso knew his job and needed very little prompting and guidance. He focused fully on his job. He is ever loyal and he’s committed 100%, not 99.9999% to whatever assigned to him. He took his job seriously, was never found wanting; never gave excuses. He is thorough, detailed and meticulous.

Mike will take his time to read through any document and would carefully guide when he felt something is wrong or missed out salient points, thereby saving me from errors."

He is resilient in his work too. He could work for 24 hours a day without a single complaint. He was always the first to resume work on campus and the last to leave the office even when we worked till 10 pm., which happened often or up to 12 midnight.

Like the prudent Secretary that he is, he documented every document and information that passed through our office just as I taught him that "if it is not documented, it is not done."

Mike is simply the encyclopedia and archive of the university.

Anyone in the university looking for any document would find it with Mike. If any document is not with him, then chances are that it is lost,” said the Vice Chancellor.

The VC further extolled Mr. Mike for his reservations, and maintaining in full the confidentiality of the office of VC, making him a Confidential Secretary par excellence.

"Mike protected me from the front, back and sideways. He knew how to screen and attend to visitors appropriately.

No visitor, staff, student or parent ever complained about Mike in these 5 years. He simply treated everyone with honor and respect. He was not given to gossip, and there was no single day or time he complained or gossipped about any staff.

I find myself telling anyone who cared to listen that Mike is the best gift God gave me as a VC, and I always blessed him from my the bottom of my heart. I can go to rest and not to worry about whatever you placed in Mike's hands.

Mike is always forward looking. He was not satisfied with his qualification as an HND holder but registered as a part-time degree student in a sister university where he is about to graduate with a first class. Mike himself is a FIRST-CLASS PERSONALITY (FCP), a PERSON of VALUE (PV), and a PURPOSE-DRIVEN PERSON (PDP).

I always declared that if God raised me up beyond this position, I would take Mike along. But alas, he has been lifted to a higher position elsewhere."

"The first day Mike told me he got a better job and would be leaving, I was shocked to my marrow. We both wept and sorrowed. I know it took him time to do so. But my mantra being that I must support anyone who is moving forward and never pull them down, I was forced to accept it. It has been a bitter pill. I lived in denial of 31st January 2023, the last day of Mike Tejuoso as my Confidential Secretary. But alas, it has come to pass.

My testimonies about Mike are nothing compared to those from selected registry staff and others who gathered to bid him farewell.

The adjectives used to describe Mike go a long way to summarize who he is - a counsellor, brother that sticks closer than a friend, a true friend, a knowledge hub, a helper, a kind-hearted man, a cheerful leader, just name any good thing, you will find it in Mike.

This is to say that Mike will be missed greatly is an understatement. Mike, I say from my heart, " Thank you."
