The Lagos State Police Command, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has arrested an ex-convict, Yakub Yusuf.
The suspect was arrested hours after he was released from jail.
It was reported that he had been sentenced to one-month imprisonment for stealing at a government fuel dump in Alausa, Ikeja.
The 23-year-old was sentenced early November, but was given an option of fine.
A non-governmental organization (NGO) facilitated his release by paying the fine, in less than two weeks into his term.
Yusuf was arrested again after been relaeased for illegally entering into the Lagos State Fire Service premises.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, he stole valve covers of old fire trucks under repairs.
The RRS led by CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, has transferred him to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for prosecution.
