The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has commended the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his performance while serving as Governor of Anambra State.
Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed are presently in Rivers State to commission the Ikoku flyover.
Wike during his address on Thursday, rebuked the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo over his recent verbal attacks on Obi.
CEOAFRICA had reported that Soludo had on Monday, set the internet on fire after releasing a lengthy article ridiculing the presidential ambition of Obi.
Wike, while speaking on the matter urged the Presidential candidate to ignore such attacks, stressing that Nigerians don’t like leaders who are upright.
He said; “You have worked very well in Anambra. But some people because of the level you are now, they are envying you, they can come out and say all manner of rubbish, don’t worry, that is how it is.’’
“It is your own people that will kill you first, so don’t bother about those things. I have told people, stop criticizing people who have already left. If you are a professor, professor well, if you are a doctor, doctor well.”
