University of Nigeria Alumni Association icons’ celebration: Obi to deliver keynote speech

The University of Nigeria Alumni Association (UNAA) has invited the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Nigeria, Mr Peter Obi, to deliver the keynote address at her icons’ celebration, holding on Thursday, November 17, 2022.
Being celebrated by a former governor of Rivers state, His Excellency, Sir (Dr) Peter Odili (CON) and his wife, who doubles as Justice of the Supreme Court, Hon. Justice Mary Ukaego Peter-Odili (CFR), the event will be holding at the Main Banquet Hall, Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, at 10:00 am prompt.
The guest lecturer of the day will be Prof. Charles Okechukwu Esimone, the Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka; the theme is “Celebrating the Legacy of the University of Nigeria Alumni Icons”.
The special guests of the event are His Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (CFR), Ooni of Ife, who is also the Chancellor of the university and Her Excellency, Dame Patience Faka Jonathan, the immediate past First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Royal father of the day is His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar (CFR), while Chief (Dr) Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (MFR) is the chairman.
The Vice Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Prof. Charles Arinzechukwu Igwe will be there too, as the host governor remains His Excellency, Rt Hon. Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
Other dignitaries that will grace the occasion include His Excellency, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, and father of the day, His Excellency Sir (Dr) Gabriel Toby.
The host is Mr Tochukwu Onyebuchi, Rivers State Branch President and South-South Zonal Vice President, UNAA, while the chief host is Lady Doris Okoro (PhD, ALOHA).
This event is announced by Engr Michael Nwabueze (FCE, KSM), Chairman, Organising Committee and Barr Juliet Ukoha, the Secretary, Organising Committee; the general public is, by this announcement, enjoined to be a part of this event.
