A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has sacked Chijioke Edeoga as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Enugu State.
Recall that Evarest Nnaji, popularly known as Odengene had approached the Abuja court to challenge the May primary election that produced Chijioke as the party’s candidate.
The presiding Judge, Justice Evelyn Maha dismissed the primary election and ordered the party to conduct a fresh primary election within 14 days.
Both Nnaji and Chijioke were members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but defected earlier in this year to battle for the LP ticket for the forthcoming governorship elections.
