Two Nigerian TikTokers identified as Mubarak Muhammad and Nazifi Bala were arraigned before the Kano Magistrate Court 58 Noman’s land Kano, for alleged defamatory post against the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, on Wednesday.
According to First Information Report, the duo in a video, posted on Facebook had portrayed the Governor as a corrupt officer, who sells any land he sees and that he has sold a lot of lands.
After the First Information Report was read over to the defendants, they pleaded guilty to the content.
The Prosecutor, Ahmad Wada, Principal State Counsel Kano State Ministry of Justice, applied for summary trial of the two defendants.
The court found them guilty as charged and adjourned the matter to November 7, 2022 for sentence.
