Chrisland University set to host Alake of Egbaland, Alakija, Awosika for their 4th convocation ceremony

The Vice Chancellor, Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAAS, has invited the general public to the fourth convocation ceremony of the school.
As has been the custom of the internationally recognized institution, to always have great men and women, whose remarkable impacts in the society can never be forgotten, in attendance, this year’s ceremony has, among other dignitaries, Alake of Egbaland, Alake Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the second richest female African and one of the five richest black women on earth, Chief (Mrs) Folorunsho Alakija and the Chairman, Access Bank PLC, Dr Ajoritsedere Josephine Awosika (MFR).
While announcing the event, on behalf of the Chancellor, High Chief Dr (Mrs) Winifred A. Awosika (OON), the members of the Board of Trustees, the Governing Council, as well as the staff and students of the school, Prof. Babalola further explained that Dr Ajoritsedere Josephine Awosika will be the convocation speaker.
The activities marking the ceremony will commence on Monday, November 7, 2022, with a convocation dinner at the school’s auditorium, at 5:00 pm, with some words of wisdom from Rev. (Mrs) Fola Achudume, President, Royal Ladies international.
On the 8th, Tuesday, at 9:30 am, the Chancellor, High Chief Winifred Awosika, is expected to name a road, and the convocation lecture titled, “The Visible and Invisible Hands of Development: Interrogating the Roles of Tertiary Institutions and the Financial Sector in Nigeria”, kicks off at 10:00 am, followed by the awards and certifications.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV, The Alake of Egbeland, Ake and Chief (Mrs.) Folorunsho Alakija, Managing Director, Famfa Oil Limited are honorary awardees of the event.
On Wednesday, 9th, at 11:00 am, there will be a thanksgiving service at the university’s auditorium, Rt Rev. (Prof.) Dapo Asaju, Bishop, Ilesa Diocese and Bishop Theologian, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, as well as immediate past Vice Chancellor, Ajayi Crowther University, will be the guest speaker.
These events are surely going to be memorable, as the international university, whose watchword has always been excellence, has assured of memorable ceremony, urging everyone, across the country, to be in attendance.
