Gunmen abducts three policemen in Ogun

Three Police officers have been abducted by gunmen in broad daylight in Ogun State.
It was reported that the Police officers were abducted on Thursday at Wasinmi, in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The kidnapped cops had visited Ogun State from Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos State, for an investigation.
It was reported that they were duly booked at the Police Division in Wasinmi before they left for their place of primary assignment.
The officers led by Inspector Oladipo Olayemi were abducted on the road by the gunmen, who allegedly kidnapped them around 2:30pm.
It was also reported that the commercial driver, who conveyed the cops, escaped by a whisker from the kidnappers.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident said; “People were kidnapped, but only one policeman is involved.“
Oyeyemi said that the police are on the kidnappers’ trail and the victim will be rescued. He also added that the Anti-kidnapping unit is on the case.
“We are on the trail of the kidnappers. Do you think we are going to keep quiet? We will get them and rescue the victims unhurt.’’
