The internet, together with other viable News sources, went agog yesterday following the shocking relief of duties faced by one of the World Class Coaches of the present day, Thomas Tuchel, who gave his now former employer their first UEFA Super cup and first FIFA Club World cup, after giving them their second UEFA Champions’ league.

Chelsea announced that they have parted ways with the German gaffer, after a 0-1 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the match day one of the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions’ league; meanwhile, he was not the only Elite Manager who faced the axe, as same fate met Domenico Tedesco of Leipzig, after a shocking 1-4 home defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in the same competition’s day one.

Before the close of the transfer window, Portuguese and Manchester United legend superstar was the major topic on the transfer rumours, following his desire to move to a team that would be playing in the Champions league, as Manchester United did not qualify for the competition.

Having failed to secure a move to some desirable teams, Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, tried to force a move to Premiership rival, Chelsea; the idea excited the new CEO of Chelsea, Todd Boehly, who has been a long-term admirer of the Portuguese and five-time Champions league and Ballon d'Or apiece winner.

Boehly, whose ownership of Chelsea just marked a hundred days, intimated the team’s manager Tuchel on the need to get the services of the Portuguese captain, which did not come into fruition, as the manager, Tuchel, reportedly explained that Ronaldo’s arrival could affect the team negatively.

Todd has just celebrated his one hundred day with the sacking of Thomas, which many fans have described as a cruel decision, following the records of the former PSG and Dortmund’s manager’s achievements within eighteen months, though some fans argue that Tuchel is no longer who he was before, after his marital crisis that led to a divorce recently.

Tuchel could not be vindicated, as the team’s performance is not at its peak, despite acquiring some high profile signatures to the tune of over $200 million, including Wesley Fofana, KalidouKoulibaly, Pierre-EmerickAubameyang, Raheem Sterling.

Meanwhile, Tedesco led Leipzig from 11th place on the Bundesliga log to top-four finish, as well as their DFB Pokal success story in less than six months, yet his present poor outing, just like that of Tuchel, marred his management, like it is always said, “once food is exhausted the status of the plate changes to dirty”.
