The remains of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, will be buried today (Saturday).

This was revealed by the Head of Oyo Mesi, who is the Prime Minister of Oyo Kingdom, High Chief Yusuf Ayoola, while addressing journalists at the palace.

“We have called the Imam. Baba will be buried today around 4pm,” the Oyo prime minister said.

He confirmed that Oba Adeyemi died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti on Friday night.

Ayoola added that the necessary rites of passage had been performed.
