ANUPA sets to embark on 4day training to reposition Varsity’s Registry

The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) is set to embark on a 4day training workshop aimed at repositioning the Registry in Nigerian Universities.

Information obtained by CEOAFRICA from the president of the association stated that the training is scheduled to hold from 27th to 30th April, 2022 at Public Service Institute, Abuja, Nigeria.

A crop of professional Administrators-Administrative Assistants/Executive Cadre, Administrative Officers and Assistant Registrars are expected to be in attendance at the training.

The training is to provide an ideal combination of learning, networking and sharing with colleagues across Nigerian Universities and beyond.

“It will be highly participatory as the trainings are designed in accordance with professional learning techniques and would include discussions, lectures case studies, role plays and exercises”, The President of the Association, Dr, Victor Bem stated.

In order to reinforce the training and give a practical study on the theme: Repositioning the University Registry in the New Normal- Challenges and Prospects'', Power point will be used.

The Registrar, Federal University, Wukari, Taraba, Dr. Aboki Sallah, will be gracing the training as the keynote speaker.

Other lecturers from different Universities includes Mr. Abdullahi B. Abdullahi (Deputy Registrar, Information Publications and Protocol Unit, University of Jos, Jos), Mr. O.E Akindele (Registrar, Redeemers’ University, Ede, Osun State), Mr. Odase Ehiagwina Ambrose (Acting Registrar, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma), Dr. Idris O Jibrin (Former Registrar, Federal University, Lafia; Currently Snr. Dep. Reg., University of Abuja, FCT).

Some of the topics to be discussed during the Conference are: The role of the University Professional Administrators in the new Normal, Servicing Paperless meetings and Matching Global ICT standards in the University, Strategies for Efficiency Writing of minutes, circulars, memo and reports in the new Normal, Emerging Deviance Workplace Behaviour in University System and the productivity of Administrators and Managing Job Stress for Sustaining Efficiency of Administration in the changing University System.

Participants are expected to pay twenty-five thousand naira to the Association's account or at the venue as fees, while those who are likely to participate virtually; are to pay fifteen thousand naira only.
