Photo News: US consulate visits Chrisland University, donates e-library to the institution

The United States Consulate Mission, Lagos office, Nigeria, on Thursday, 17th February 2022 visited Chrisland University Abeokuta Ogun State.

The Deputy Public Affairs Officer, United States Consulate-General, Jennifer Foltz who led the delegation arrived the University campus with a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola in her office to brief her of their mission to the citadel of learning.

While briefing the Management Team of Chrisland , Mrs Jennifer Foltz said they are in the university to establish a relationship between the institution and US consulate , give a donation of an e-library resources with training on how to use it, interact with students and staff of the University and to on how to better develop themselves.

The consulate said the donation was part of its core mandate in promoting educational opportunities for Nigerian students and scholars.

The Deputy Public Affairs Officer, United States Consulate-General, Jennifer Foltz, made the donation on behalf of the consulate at the school premises.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS, while welcoming the August visitors in her office expressed the University’s appreciation for the visit of the U.S. Consulate General, she said the strategic alliances of the citadel of learning with U.S consulate would foster capacity building between the two great countries, relationship and continuous harmony, knowledge sharing, exchange programmes among others.

The AU laureate further stated that the Founder, High Chief Dr Winifred Awosika , the Board and the Management of the university is leaving no stone unturned towards making Chrisland University one of the leading private university in Africa.
