The night life icon, especially in the nation’s capital and mercurial music maestro, 74, who founded the first night Club in the Federal Capital Territory, in the early eighties, breathed his last at the Garki District Hospital, Abuja, where he was on admission for a few days before death came calling.
Friends of Uncle Dee and Grand Mirage Hotels, from all walks of life, are to converge on Friday 17 December at The Grand Mirage Resort in Port Harcourt Crescent, Off Gimbiya Street, Area 11, Abuja to  pay last respect to the departed hero,.
The Grand Night of Songs and Tributes is expected a first session of series of rite of passage for the departed entertainer, who will be buried in his homestead of Lagos.
According to the spokesman for the Committee of Friends, Akinrogun Alaba Yusuf, many celebrities and VIPs from music, movies, media, Government circle and general public are expected at the special show of solidarity.
The All-Stars Nite commencing 6pm on Friday, is anticipated to be a memorable event in Abuja.
Uncle Dee established Grand Mirage in 1984, when the concept of Abuja as national capital was just getting off the drawing board.
Mr. Dele Adeola, a son of a late police commissioner, retired from the Federal Civil Service as a Director two decades ago, and had since veered fully into the entertainment industry where he made his name as a jolly good fellow.
Meanwhile, there are feelers that his body would not be laid to rest until early next year.
