Tuesday 2nd Nov.2021: A  Member of the  National Assembly, Shina Peller, has advised Nigerian youths to make their voice heard in the next general elections by taking active part in politics to re-write their story.
He said the next elections in 2023 poses a golden opportunity for the youths to work towards achieving a Nigeria of their own dreams as it  will be held without an incumbent President.
Peller, who is also the convener of Lead Generation Initiative, a non-governmental organisation engaged in mentoring and nurturing young Nigerians leaders to channel their creative skills and energies to nation-building,gave the charge at the Yola ‘Get Involved leadership Summit’, attended by over 500 youths from the North-East region.
He tasked the youths to use their numerical strength to re-write their story, by going into politics, adding that their involvement is not necessarily to contest elections but to impact it positively because politics is the single most important factor in governance.
He said youths should go into politics and not be discouraged by those who claimed politics is dirty, while sharing from his own personal experience.
Peller while disclosing his motivation for joining politics, said in 2018, he took that step after he realized that he could not be insulated from the failure of his surroundings.
