SATURDAY- 14th August, 2021: History was made on Thursday at the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Moor plantation, Ibadan as the first female Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, CP Ngozi Vivian Onadeko, paid a courtesy call on the institute.
IThis was made known to CEOAFRICA by the Head Public Releation Unit of IAR&T, Dr Adeniyi Amusat .
The Executive Director of IAR &T, Prof. Veronica Obatolu on behalf of the management and staff, welcomed the commissioner and her team, expressing her delight for her visitation.
In her speech, the first female Executive Director of the institution, Prof. Obatolu, said, “I am very pleased with your visit and I hope this will be the beginning of new things in our institution.
“You are the first female Commissioner of Police and I am the first female Executive Director, this is very significant and I pray that it will be the beginning of new things.”
Obatolu also commended the efforts of the CP in crime fighting in Oyo State, she stated that since she came, there is relative peace in Oyo state.
CP Ngozi in her response thank the Management of IAR&T led by Prof Veronica Obatolu for warm welcome and the transformational achievements in the institute, she assured that the Oyo State Police Command will partner with the IAR&T for sustainable secured and peaceful research institute.
The CP, who is the first Commissioner of Police to visit the institute since inception, was warmly welcomed by the IAR&T management, Professors, Head of Programs and Units; the Provost of Federal college of Animal Health and Production Technology , Dr Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo, representative of Federal College of Agriculture, Engr. Adejumo, and many others.
