FCAH&PT felicitates with Nigerians on Democracy Day

Saturday, 12th June 2021: The Provost and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal College of Animal Health & Production Technology, (FCAH&PT), Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Dr Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo, on Saturday felicitated with Nigerians for witnessing another Democracy Day.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with CEOAFRICA, Dr Owosibo, said June 12 is unique and a watershed in Nigeria’s electoral history and cannot be wished away.

He then commended President Muhammadu Buhari for recognising June 12 as the real Democracy Day.

He recalled that June 12 1993 was the day Nigerians, irrespective of religious inclination voted massively for a Muslim/Muslim ticket that would have unified Nigeria the more in the area of religious inclination if not that the results was truncated.

Dr Owosibo then felicitate with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Sabo Nanono and leadership and members of the National Assembly on this auspicious occasion of the 2021 Democracy Day and six years in office of Mr. President.

He advised that as we celebrate Democracy Day, “Nigerians should support the quest of the present administration in developing the potentials the country have in the agricultural sector to boost our foreign earnings as a nation and to be able to feed ourselves as individuals”.
