Two Ghanaian brothers, Elisha Ofori and Calvin Bill are turning plastic waste into fashionable outfits.

According to them, they wanted to create something different.

They collect plastic waste, sort and wash them, then sew clothes out of them which they showcase in fashion shows.

"I went online to check other things people were doing and I saw that one can do a plastic jacket," Mr Ofori said.

Plastic waste is a huge problem in Africa. Ghana alone produces more than a million tonnes of plastic waste annually but only recycles about 5%.

The government in Ghana has partnered with organisations that can help recycle plastic waste to prevent pollution.
