Saturday, 15 May 2021: CEOAFRICA has joined the United Nations, (UN), to celebrate the International Day of Families. This year observance focuses on the impacts of new technologies on the well-being of families.

The International Day of Families provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase the knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting families.

This celebration has been observed every year since 1993, after the General Assembly decided in a resolution that 15 May of every year should be observed as The International Day of Families.

According to UN, the 2021 celebration is themed; Families and New Technologies

As we celebrate today, we need to know that the family is important because it is the bedrock of every society, the family determines what our society will become.

We all belong to a family and in the advent of new technologies we should always remember to spend quality time with our family.

We should try our best tocelebrate each member and build a strong family bond.
