The Joint Annual Research Review and 33rd South-West Research Extension Farmers Input Linkage System (REFILS) organised by the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Moor Plantation, Ibadan, has commenced.

Present at the 5-day event are: the Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development, Hon. Mohammed Sabo Nanono, Prof. Garba H. Sharubutu, South West Governors, and other dignitaries.

The Keynote speakers- Dr. Debo Akande, the Director General of Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), who will be speaking on the topic “Agricultural Research and Entrepreneurship for Poverty Alleviation”, and Prof. Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, from the Department of Agricultural Extension & Rural Development, University of Ibadan, who will speak on “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture, Food Security and Sustainable Wealth Creation amidst COVID-19 and Social Conflicts’ - are present.

The Executive Governor of Oyo State is represented by the Chief of Staff, Chief Bisi Ilaka.

Also at the programme are Dr. Adeola Ojedina, Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, Vice Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and Chief Host; Prof. Veronica Obatolu, Executive Director of the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training; Mr 'Deboye Popoola, Deputy Registrar/Secretary to the Institute, and others.  

The event is currently ongoing at Prof. E.A Adebowale Training Hall, IAR&T, Ibadan.
