The victorious emergence of Ayo Fayose as the Governor-elect of Ekiti State is a welcome development to the people of Ekiti State. There was jubilation all around Ekiti State because the people of Ekiti State were happy to have Ayo Fayose as their Governor once again. This is the second time Ayo Fayose will be elected as Governor of Ekiti State. His first term in office as the Governor of Ekiti state was 2007 to 2010.

Due to his humility and accommodating spirit, he emerged again as the Governor of Ekiti State in the just concluded election on the 21^st of June 2014. Governor Ayo Fayose is not hostile to the grass-root people and rural dwellers. This is why they supported him to become the Governor once again.

The determination of Governor Ayo Fayose to succeed led him to this position. His intelligence and academic excellence was one of the major factors that were considered in electing him.
