The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has congratulated Mr. Ayo Fayose for winning the Ekiti State governorship poll saying the victory will spur the PDP to win in Osun.

Omisore said this on Sunday in a statement issued on his behalf by the Director of Media and Strategy of his Campaign Organisation, Mr Diran Odeyemi.

Omisore said that Fayose’s emergence is a true reflection of the wishes of the people of Ekiti State.

Omisore said Ekiti State people had set the pace for the reclamation of the South-west from the control of the APC, saying Osun State people will follow suit on August 9.

The statement read, “Ekiti people have spoken. They have chosen a courageous leader that will protect their interest.

“With Fayose’s victory, coast appears clear for other states to fight and win their freedom from the political aliens that have taken states in South-west by storm in the last four years. We are assuring our people in Ekiti that the baton handed to Osun people will also spur us to victory on August 9.”

The Director-General, Iyiola Omisore Campaign Organisation, Chief Lere Oyewumi, also congratulated Fayose on his victory at the governorship polls.

He said the Osun State chapter of the PDP was ready to build on the success the party recorded in Ekiti and replicate same on August 9, 2014.
