In a press release made available to CEOAFRICA, His Grace, Most Rev. Gabriel ’Leke Abegunrin, the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan and Metropolitan of Ibadan Province, with heavy heart sympathizes with the entire Islamic religious leaders, people of Ibadan, and Oyo State, on the passing on of Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Businessman and Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Nigeria, Alhaji Azeez Arisekola-Alao, who passed on last Wednesday, 18 June, 2014.
The Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land was a leader per excellence who had consideration for other religion and believes in inter-religious dialogue and co-existence.
Alhaji Azeez Arisekola-Alao is a consistent and principled man who was generous and loved his people. The quality of his humanity and compassion was unprecedented.
The entire city of Ibadan, Oyo State, and the Country at large will really miss Him.
His Grace, Most Rev. Gabriel ‘Leke Abegunrin, express his condolence to the Entire Arisekola-Alao family, the Muslim Community, and the Government of Oyo State over the loss.
