Oyo Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Adeyemo
The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Adeyemo, has debunked claim that there was rift between him and boss, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, saying that no one and no situation would come between them.
Speaking during the solemnization of the holy matrimony between his son, Dr. Adeyemo and his newly wedded wife, Bukola held Majolagbe at the Masifa Baptist Church, Ogbomoso at the weekend, Chief Adeyemo said he was pledging his loyalty to the governor and their joint administration, as well as what he called the peace that had existed between them since the beginning of the administration.
The governor's Special Adviser on Media, Festus Adedayo said in a statement in Ibadan on Sunday that while commending the governor, the deputy governor vowed that nothing would disrupt this relationship, in spite of what he called the plans of their political enemies to bring a wedge between them.
“I want to thank Governor Ajimobi for his support for me. He has always related with me as a friend and not like a boss. This is certainly the reason why our relationship has been very cordial,” Chief
In his remarks, Governor Ajimobi lauded the support and loyalty of Chief Adeyemo, to him and the government of the state, stating that he was the most supportive and loyal deputy governor in the country.
The governor described Adeyemo as a highly supportive and loyal friend who had contributed immensely to the growth of the state.
Ajimobi also attributed the pairing of both himself and the deputy as a positive step forward for the uplift of the state, stating that “the Almighty God brought us together for a purpose to be accomplished for the progress of Oyo State.”
The governor also urged the couple to be faithful to each other and respect their vows. He admonished them to be tolerant of each other, forgive whenever there is a disagreement between them and above all, love and respect each other.
Present at the occasion were Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, wife of the governor, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, wife of the governor of Lagos State, members of the state executive council and many others.
