Former Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State has condoled with Vice-President Namadi Sambo over the death of his brother, Capt. Yusuf Sambo, describing it as a loss to the nation.

This was contained in a condolence message signed and issued by his Media Consultant, Mr Abraham Ojo on Wednesday. The late Capt. Yusuf Sambo died last Sunday in a ghastly motor accident along Airport Road in Abuja.

"The death of this illustrious young man is a great loss to the aviation industry and the nation as a whole."Indeed it is a personal loss as I share this moment of grief with the Vice-President and his entire family”.

Alao-Akala said that the late Yusuf Sambo was an accomplished and experienced pilot who made tremendous impact in the aviation industry.

He said that he was a nice man who made himself available to all who approached him for professional advice and sundry matters in the industry.

The former governor said that his death, coming at this time, was more painful as the nation would greatly miss his professional advice and experience whenever such was needed.

Alao-Akala urged the Vice-President and his entire family to take solace in the fact that the late Yusuf Sambo lived an exemplary life and made significant contributions in his chosen career. "He has left behind enviable legacy and record of commitment, total dedication to duty and discipline to which we are all proud of," he said.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of deceased as well as prayed that God would grant the Vice-President and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
