South-East Governors Set to tackle Insecurity within the region.

NIGERIA (Enugu)— South-East Governors’ Forum have resolved to tackle insecurity and other challenges being faced by the people within the zone.

This was disclosed yesterday in Enugu State, shortly after the meeting of the governors led by Theodore Orji of Abia State.

Briefing newsmen at the end of the meeting, Orji who is the Chairman of the Forum said the governors discussed how they could jointly tackle security in the zone.

Governors of Enugu, Abia and Anambra State, Sullivan Chime, Theodore Orji and Willy Obiano were present at the meeting while their Ebonyi State counterpart, Martin Elechi was represented by his deputy, Dave Umahi.

However, the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha was absent and no reason was given.

The forum also used the opportunity to welcome the new Anambra State governor, Dr. Willie Obiano into their fold.
