
NIGERIA (Oyo)-The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed the bill for the establishment of the Oyo State College of Health Sciences and Technology.
The bill which was passed into law during her plenary held at the Assembly Chamber in Ibadan, on Tuesday, was presented to the floor by Hon. Adegoke T.A, Chairman, House Committee on Health.
During his presentation, Hon. Adegoke said the committee’s recommendations suggested that Ibadan be included in the name of the proposed college, while some Honourable members also added that it will be appropriate if it does follow as other institutions already in existence such as; University of Ibadan, Ibadan and The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
After thorough debate, the report was accepted and the bill passed into law.
Similarly, the House passed the bill for the Oyo State Financial budget for the year ending 31st December 2014.
