The Presbyter of the Methodist Church, Wesley Cathedral, Elekuro, Ibadan,Very Rev. S.O Siyanbola, on Sunday commended the wife of the Oyo state Governor, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, for her efforts in empowering women in the state. He described Mrs Ajimobi as a Ministry of good maintenance of women and children in Oyo state, adding that she has been used by God to impact many lives. The Presbyter lauded Mrs Ajimobi for her efforts during the first Sunday of the month thanksgiving of the church, urging her not to be discouraged by what people say. According to him, humans are fond of running governance by mouth while many see nothing good in others, adding that she should not be discouraged by this

While speaking, Mrs Ajimobi thanked the congregation for their support for the present administration in the state and its policies, adding that the peace being enjoyed in the state is a proof of their continuous prayers. She added that when an individual stand on Christ's solid rock as the practice in Oyo state, such a person or community will enjoy peace and development.

Mrs Ajimobi also urged people not to relent in their prayers as God is the only determining factor in all things and urged women to always prophesy good things into the lives of their children .She also called on women to join the Women Intercessory Network, a fellowship of women in the state which holds bi-monthly at the Government House Arcade, adding that it is just a forum for prayers

According to her, the next edition comes up on April 5, 2014 and all women in the state are welcome at the prayers .
