Collapsed Building Claims Four Lives in Uganda

CEOAFRICA.com reports that four people have been confirmed dead and others injured in Kampala after a building collapsed in the city.

Sources disclosed that the building collapsed when food vendors were carrying out their daily activities at the basement. The building which belonged to city mogul Sudhir Ruperalia, has been a source of concern to residents within the area due to its deplorable condition.

The Inspector-General of Police in Uganda, Kale Kaihura was among those that visited the scene after the incident.

The Nakivubo mews where the collapsed building is situated remained closed, as Fire Brigade officers dig through the debris for any people that might have been trapped.
