NIGERIA CUSTOM SERVICE OFFICIALS INTERCEPTS SMUGGLERS WITH CONTRABANDS IN OGUN STATE.

The Nigeria Custom Service, Ogun State Command has revealed their interception of four smugglers with contraband along Idiroko border route in Ipokia Local Government area of Ogun state.

Ade Dosunmu, the Customs Comptroller of Ogun State Command reveals that the contraband were concealed in the alleged Dangote cement truck marked JIGAWA-KZR 130XA and one other 911 truck.

Mr. Dosunmu, during the parade of the contraband and goods, said the intercepted contrabands were concealed in two truck with 15,000 cartons of turkey valued at N100 million.

“Two drivers of the trucks confessed to have been paid the sum of N550,000 to deliver the goods while the other two are also drivers but are helping to convey the products”, Dosunmu said.

He however, assures Nigerians of further investigation on the matter to fish out the people behind the criminal deal and bring them to face the consequences of their action.
