Nigeria’s President and Grand Commander of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari today called for better cooperation between the Executive and Legislative arm of government.
According to ceoafrica, Buhari who made the call in his goodwill message to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on his 54th birthday said that cooperation is necessary to ensure smooth implementation of his government’s policies and programmes.
In the statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President said further that despite the principle of separation of powers, both arms of government should be united in the promotion of the common good of the people.
He said whatever differences that occasionally arise between the two arms of government should not be allowed to compromise their “common goals of promoting the greater progress and development of Nigeria.”
