The Nigerian Police, Lagos State Command, at the weekend rescued a Briton kidnapped few days ago by a gang, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.

The rescue mission which was successfully carried out by a combined team of operatives drawn from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) led by the Officer-in-Charge, SP Abba Kyari and  their counterpart from the Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB), stormed the uncompleted two-storey building where the kidnappers used as hideout at Okota-Isolo area of the state and rescued the victim. The team was able to arrest one of the gang members.

The Police Investigation Department was able to track the kidnappers through the phone number they used to contact the family of the victim, demanding for $1 million ransom.

The Briton, last Thursday, was abducted after the kidnappers had first opened fire on the vehicle conveying him to his destination, which left the driver injured.
